Welcome to our Introductory Riding Lesson, the perfect starting point for all new students (adults and kids age 3+) at Double C Ranch!
This ~1-hour lesson is designed to give you a hands-on experience with our horses and introduce you to our instructors and barn environment. Younger kids will work alongside their parents to learn important concepts and skills.
What to Expect:
- Horse Grooming and Tacking: Together with your instructor, you’ll learn how to properly clean and tack up a horse. We’ll explain the importance of grooming, ensuring both the horse’s well-being and creating a strong bond between you and your equine partner.
- Lunge Line Lesson: After preparing the horse, you’ll participate in a lunge line lesson. This involves the instructor using a long rope to maintain full control over the horse while you ride. This method allows us to assess your current riding skills and determine the best horse and program for your ongoing learning journey.
