Brush, tack, and bond with your horse, enjoy a mini lesson, and then head out on a relaxed trail ride across our 250-acre farm — all on safe, well-trained horses.
Our Trail Ride Experience
Enjoy a true horse experience at Double C Ranch. Begin in the barn by brushing and grooming your horse, taking the time to connect and get comfortable together. With guidance, you’ll tack up and spend some time in the round pen to connect with your horse and then move in the arena for a mini lesson to learn the horses "buttons" (learn how the horse is trained). Then, relax and enjoy a peaceful trail ride across 250 acres of scenic Blue Ridge farmland. Limited to just four riders per group, this experience offers a safe, personal way to spend time with horses and enjoy the beauty of the countryside.
Riders for trail rides need to be at least 12 years of age, at least 4'10" tall and less than 250 lbs. We do offer riding lessons for younger riders.
Please note: We can accept reschedules of the trail ride with 48 hours advance notice. No-shows or cancellations with less than 48hrs notice will be charged the full price.
