16 year old Black Mare (Missy)
Sire: Speak Frankly
Dam: Baroness Rio Gold
Age: 16 years
Temperament: 3/10 (1=very laid back 10=hot)
Stands tied, lunges, loads, broke to ride.
Missy did go in my riding lesson program, she started Beginner on the lunge line and I also had a 6 year old boy who absolutely loved to ride her. As soon as she has a child on her back she is very slow. She has a very smooth lope and a decent stop. She backs good and does side pass.
I do not consider her a Beginner horse. You need to ride her before a Beginner can get on her. No rear or buck, but likes to move. She does great as a leadline.
Things to mention:
She is a really great baby sitter, for all the Colts I have. She always watches over ALL of them.
I raised two colts out of her who are really nice and easy to train/handle. The first Colt was a beautiful silver roan and the second has not roaned yet, I am expecting her to roan next year (they always do). We did load her last Colt in the Trailer for the first time (yearling filly) and she went in and out like she had done it her whole life. She did not get excited or refused, just walked in and back out.
Farrier, dewormed, vaccinated per schedule, she had her teeth done 3/2021.
Missy was a Broodmare most of her life. She takes easy, produces nice Colts and is a great mother.
